Equine Vaccine Amnesty 2019
With the rather scary news that 60% of the equine population are not vaccinated against influenza, November’s vaccine amnesty couldn’t come at a better time.
Even if your horse doesn’t leave the yard, he or she is at risk of developing equine flu.
It can travel upto 2km in the air, and vaccinated horses can spread it without showing any clinical signs themselves.
If your horse is unvaccinated, or has lapsed vaccines, November is the time to start again!
Book your horse in for their first vaccine in November, and their second vaccine will be free through the Stamp Out Flu Scheme. This scheme will give you one free vaccine within the primary course of three (visit charge still applicable).
